Katarina Hedlund is the new Director of CEC after Per Persson, who left at the turn of the year. Per Persson has moved on to the role of Dean of the Faculty of Science at Lund University.
Katarina Hedlund, professor at the Department of Biology, has been the Deputy Director of CEC for many years. She has also been Director of studies at CEC.
“It will be easy to take over such a well-run organization and I look forward to next year”, says Katarina Hedlund.
Per Persson, professor of chemistry who was appointed Director of CEC 2021, was thanked with cake and coffee and speeches in the days before Christmas. He started his new position 1 January.
