I work as project manager in the Biodiversity and Conservation Science research group, with a primary focus on projects that address environmental impacts of agriculture and forestry on biodiversity. I'm also involved in more general research and outreach activities at CEC. My main interest lies in developing and communicating ecological research that helps meet society’s most pressing knowledge needs, in terms of informing action and policy towards sustainable land use and climate change mitigation.
I have a PhD in ecology from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), where I studied the role that insects play in driving how an ecosystem responds to nitrogen eutrophication. All questions related to the societal relevance of ecological interactions are of special interest to me (especially if insects are involved!). Within this topic I have for example done commissioned work for the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency on pollinating insects, worked with SLU to synthesize knowledge needs in plant protection research, and co-organised a seminar series with LU Land and the County Administration Board of Skåne about the importance of pollinating insects.
