Collaboration & outreach
CEC attaches particular importance to science and knowledge communication both within Lund University and with the wider society. In addition to specific efforts, communication occurs also as an integrated element within the research education activities.
The aim is to showcase and provide results, spread information on research methods, reflect on pertinent research questions and reflect on the research’s societal relevance. This involve communicating and making available research results through different channels and activities, such as coordinating and producing material tailored for different audiences, dialogue with users and stakeholders, and initiating, supporting and establishing syntheses and policy briefs.
Many of the CEC researchers and students are involved in activities and collaborations within the academia, with industry or with society and authorities. These outreach activities include membership in steering committees and networks, participation in workshops, hearings, debates and speaking at conferences. Many of the CEC researchers are also frequently seen and heard in media.

CEC Fellows is a network created as a meeting place for collective expertise and as a forum for exchange of ideas of researchers within CEC, with the aim of achieving CEC’s vision and encouraging bottom-up influence and leadership. As a CEC Fellow, you will have – to the extent that suits you – direct influence over the future development of the CEC environment and how it evolves in concert with other relevant entities at Lund University, with respect to its long-term strategic direction as well as the day-to-day operation. The CEC Fellows will have opportunities to interact more efficiently within and across disciplines, which can lead to new research configurations that will initiate and conduct new and innovative relevant research.
