Sustainable Land Use
Long-term sustainable land use is central to securing food and energy production, creating a bio-based economy, managing climate change, preserving biodiversity and meeting global sustainability goals. We face many challenges and time is running out to solve them. Therefore, LU Land has allowed over 250 researchers and other stakeholders in the community to identify and prioritize their most pressing challenges in a common horizon scanning. During Sustainability Week 2020, we will kick off some of the highest priority issues and together try to find possible solutions. The event opens the Center for Environmental and Climate Research's Spring Conference, where many of Sweden's foremost researchers on, for example, land issues will gather.
There are a limited number of seats for non-LU Land members, registration of interest is mandatory to ludwig [dot] bengtsson_sonesson [at] cec [dot] lu [dot] se (Ludwig Bengtsson Sonesson). Write “LU Land” in the subject line and a short sentence on how you can contribute in our approach to solving these burning land issues.
