Landscape ecotoxicology

Pesticides are used to protect crops and reduce pest damage, but such pesticide use can also affect non-target organisms such as pollinators. In a number of projects, we are quantifying pesticide exposure to bee pollinators and the resulting effects on their health and pollination services. We combine empirical lab, semi-field and landscape scale field experiments with individual based and spatial modelling to extend from single compounds and individuals to cocktails and communities.
