Romain Carrié presented the preliminary result on the stabilizing effect of organic farming on bumblebee species richness in the 5th European Congress of Conservation Biology (ECCB) in Jyväskylä, Finland.

27 August 2018  Publication on the stabilizing of organic farming on the species richness of flower-visiting insects

Romain Carrié, Johan Ekroos and Henrik Smith published the results of a 3-year study on the effect of organic farming on the spatio-temporal stability of butterfly and bumblebee species richness. The article got a good coverage in the traditional media and on social networks.

3 November 2017  Seminar on land sharing/land sparing in KLSA

A seminar, organized by the strategic research environment BECC, will be held in KLSA (Royal Swedish Academy of Agriculture and Forestry) in Stockholm the 15th of November, 2018, to discuss about relevant strategies to conserve biodiversity in agricultural landscapes. This seminar will focus on the relevance of integrating or segregating biodiversity conservation from productive areas in farmlands. International experts will present their ongoing research, followed by panel discussions.
