LU Land Breakfast seminar #11: "Is continuity forestry the solution to future challenges?"

The debate about the Swedish forest is intense. How should our forests be managed to simultaneously meet the needs of industry, the interests of forest owners, future climate change, the increased importance of outdoor life, and at the same time contribute to more species richness in the forest? Felling-free forestry, or continuity forestry, means that the forest is managed so that the land is always wooded without any major clear-cut areas. These methods are increasingly being discussed as alternatives, but can continuity forestry meet society's expectations, and if so, to what extent?
