CEC Fellows seminar: Understanding Media

Anna Maria Erling will give us insights into the world of Media and how it works.
Welcome to an afternoon where we get into the head of a journalist!
Register here before 13 November 2019.
The CEC communication manager, Anna Maria Erling, is a journalist by training and has experience both from working as a news reporter on radio, newspaper and television, as well as working with popular science, research journalism and as an editor-in-chief.
During this seminar she brings us to the newsroom, telling us about the priorities and the ordinary working day-life for a journalist. Hopefully you will get answers to questions as, What is defined as news, and why? Why are journalists always in a hurry? Why do they build their stories in the way they do? What kind of professional codes of ethics do Swedish media follow today? and What shall I do if they want an interview?
About CEC Fellows

With the aim of promoting new interdisciplinary research endeavors and encouraging bottom-up influence and leadership, the network is created as a meeting place for collective expertise and as a forum for exchange of ideas amongst researchers. If you are not already a member and would like to join, if you have suggestions for the development of the fellowship, or any news to add to the Newsletter, please contact cerina [dot] wittbom [at] cec [dot] lu [dot] se (Cerina Wittbom).
