Between August 9 and 23, 45 European master and doctoral students from "The Journey" is coming to Lund University.

Susanna Bruzell
- During these two weeks in Lund, we hope that the students will have gained insight and inspiration on how we work with climate and sustainability issues in Sweden and the Nordic countries. We also hope that the students will gain both knowledge and experience in the areas of climate, solutions and entrepreneurship that will help them develop new ideas and innovations that can contribute to reducing and tackling climate change, says Susanna Bruzell, project coordinator for the summer school in Lund, Centre for environmental and climate research.

The program includes science, entrepreneurship and innovation with lectures, site visits, discussions with experts and group work - all with a focus on climate. A team work project will be ongoing during the five weeks, where the students will work with a business idea related to climate change. A competition is set up the last week to see who has the best business idea.

The Journey is part of the Climate-KIC, bringing together over 230 universities, companies, cities and other stakeholders in Europe with the common goal of finding solutions to the climate challenge. Lund University became part of the Climate-KIC in June this year, read more about the collaboration here.
