The planned activities of Professor Klein has the stated ambition to increase gender equality among researchers at the university. Her activities will include gender discussion across all levels of a scientific career, including interactions with the research school ClimBEco and early-career scientists in BECC.

- Given the broad engagement in BECC across Lund University, this visiting professorship can benefit both research and gender equality at multiple departments at several faculties, says Henrik Smith, director at the CEC and the coordinator of BECC.

The aim of the Hedda Andersson visiting professorship is to stimulate an even gender balance among Lund University professors.
