Brainstorming workshop on Landscape management - possible dates 3-5 June
The Swedish EPA has an open call directed towards Landscape management, with an emphasis on inter-disciplinarity and stakeholder involvement. EPA will be supporting research that handles questions about landscape conditions, changes linked to human influence and society's development, and the impact of these changes on biodiversity and ecosystem services. The call refers to both terrestrial and aquatic environments. The funding for projects is in the magnitude of SEK 2-6 million for projects spanning 2-3 years during 2016-2018. Application deadline 15 September.
Would you be interested in getting together for a brainstorming workshop / pitch-jam aimed at flushing out some really good research ideas in response to the call?
The idea of the workshop is to connect with colleagues from different disciplines to define interesting research questions, including how to integrate Ecosystem based adaptation in management practices (as stated in the call text). It is both a brainstorming meeting, and an opportunity to pitch an idea you might already have, to get input from your colleagues and find cooperation if needed.
Aim and announcement
Depending on number of participants the aim is to work out one or two (or more…) really strong ideas for applications, and get the cooperation around the applications going.
The announcement for the call is in Swedish in the link below, a rough English translation is provided in attached document
Workshop Wed 3 June, 13.00-15.00
